Messages and listing requests

When you contact us or submit a listing or correction request, we collect the name, email address, message and business details you provide. We use this information to review the request, check business information, prevent abuse and reply to you.

Your contact name, email and private message are not automatically published by these forms. Business details submitted for a public listing may be published after review. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, payment information or private customer information.

Requests are held in a private review system. Messages selected for follow-up may also be delivered to the ScreenText contact mailbox. Request records and correspondence may be retained while needed for review, follow-up, security and recordkeeping. You can contact us about a record using the address below.

Site analytics

We use our own site analytics to understand which pages visitors use and whether they open business contact links. Analytics records can include the page path, search parameters, referring page, browser information, IP address, visit identifier and time of the visit.

New visitor counts use browser confirmation and filters for known bots and excluded test visits. These filters reduce unwanted traffic in reports but cannot establish that every recorded visit is a unique person.

You can exclude this browser from future site analytics. This sets a first-party preference cookie. It applies to this browser while the cookie remains available, and does not remove records already collected. Repeat the choice on other browsers or after clearing cookies.

Cookies and security records

First-party cookies support the site session, form security, visit identification and the analytics exclusion preference. Security checks use information such as request timing, browser details and a hashed network address to limit abusive submissions. Server access logs can contain IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details and timestamps.

Opting out of analytics does not turn off the session and security checks needed to run forms or prevent abuse. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although forms and other features may then stop working.

Public business information

The directory includes business information collected from public sources, including Google Maps, and reviewed submissions. Ratings and review counts shown on profiles are recorded source values rather than reviews collected by LA Services.

If public details are wrong, use the correction link on the relevant profile. If the issue involves personal information, email us with the listing link and a description of your concern. Do not include sensitive documents in your initial message.

Other websites and services

Some pages load fonts, business images, article images or maps from other providers. Loading these resources can send your IP address and browser information to the provider. Embedded maps are provided by Google, and site fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Business website links, Google Maps links and other external links open services operated by others. Those services handle information under their own privacy notices. Calling or emailing a listed business shares information directly with that business.
